Pizza Uno

It's been a while since I ate there so I drove by Centrepoint BU.

A fabulous drink at Pizza Uno... the lemon lime bitters... I had 2 glasses of it since it was so delicious.

My fave order at Uno... the fish steak. A blur shot but that doesn't take away the joy of eating this dish!

Running The Gauntlet - A Penang Pig-out Story

On the way to a colleague's wedding in Penang, we had planned several stops along the way to pig ourselves out. Basically, the main event was the eating and the wedding was just the side attraction. Our first stop was in Bidor... had this wantan mee (without char siew).

So we dropped by Ipoh along the way... went to a famous coffee shop but no pictures yet except for their big padang... see below...

Then along the way to Penang, just before the bridge, we diverted to Bukit Tambun - the guys wanted to have seafood but I wasn't too keen about the offerings... especially the conch (spiky shell) you see here so my friends whacked the whole plate by themselves. Boiled and eaten with sambal belacan. The oh-chean was not too bad though.

Finally, Penang, and the first bowl of assam laksa at a hawker centre in Island Glades... not too bad. The mua chi was quite good.

The following day, after the wedding dinner (no point talking about that here); a coffeeshop in Pulau Tikus which was packed packed packed...

First off, a wonderful bowl of curry mee. Just the right amount of curry and santan. Yum! My favourite here.

How can one miss Penang char kuay teow...

Ah the famous Penang chee cheong fun and prawn paste... very very tasty!

5 of us walloped 11 plates of food here (some not mentioned or photographed)...

So we walked around the market to let some of the food digest before we continued...

It was not yet lunch time (around 10.30am) so we decided to whack some mee goreng across the street...

And mee rebus... bringing our tally to 13!

And then we couldn't leave Penang without Ghee Hiang and Penang Road cendul right?

After that it was straight for lunch at Ipoh (quite similar food to what we had the day before)... pork satay and spare parts here...

We all loved the popiah... we had it the day before too...

Of course, we did not relinquish the chance for a bowl of sar hor fun! Again, many other dishes did not make the photos list ^_^

I hope you enjoyed this post from me, the kaki makan!

What I Missed In HongKong

Some of you know that I was supposed to attend the VC 250th Anniversary celebration in HK last week. My posting about it is HERE.

Anyway, I skipped it. Here's the writeup on the EVENT.

Super Imaginative Chogokin

Finally gotten a hold of what I've been craving for... chogokins... action figures made from die cast metal (or at least some part of it)...

Yoga

Just participated in my first ever Yoga lesson today. It's definitely physically demanding and the aches my body has is proof enough.

Will try the next lesson next week to see if Yoga is REALLY for me!

As a follow up to my earlier posting...

This one was on Friday...

The sky wasn't as clear though.

My Gundam Addiction

I stated a few days ago about my newly acquired taste for Gundam model kits...

I spent the afternoon installing Ikea's Ingo glass cabinet for these new kits and here are some quick and dirty shots of my recent acquisitions.

Maggi For Sunday Lunch

Yum... Maggi mee curry flavour 1 packet. I added chinese lettuce and chinese parsley on top, plus a dash of fried shallots and onion oil. There's also a chicken egg inside there somewhere. Evidently, this is my Sunday lunch.

Beautiful Sunset

It was such a beautiful sunset today... the day was not too hot and the wind was oh-so refreshing! I was cycling around my neighbourhood and got a shot with my camera phone.

And here's some shots from my SLR... not too good though - pity! By the time I got my SLR setup on my tripod, the sun had already set.

Gundam model kits

Ah model kits have always been my obsession since I was a young boy... but I never delved much into it as I felt I would not have the patience nor the manual dexterity to make any good of them. Anyway, after years of contemplation, I decided to buy a few basic Gundam model kits to toy with... I think the basic ones are too easy for me as I managed to complete 6 kits in 2 hours on this lazy Sunday afternoon. Next I'll by the HG (high grade) and the Master Grade sets ^_^

Luna, Menara PanGlobal!

The men's toilet at Luna Bar, Menara PanGlobal... one of KL's newest and hottest night spots. After many recommendations, we dropped by for a colleague's dinner party. Of course the toilet was all mine...

Another view of the toilet... this time the urinal. You have a clear view of KL from the 34th floor and the frosted glass in the middle is there to cover your modesty should a helicopter pass by... basically, it's pissing on the edge!

Enough of the bar... here's the courtyard of Luna... cool eh?
