New Korean movies and Casshern

Being a great fan, no surprise that I bought 6 movies while I was in Seoul.

They are
1. Fighter In The Wind (Baramui Fighter)
2. Chihwaseon
3. Everybody Has Secrets
4. Someone Special (Aniyeon Yeoja)
5. Silmido
6. My Mother Is A Mermaid

Anyway, I've watched these so far...

Fighter In The Wind

A supposed biopic of the founder of Kyokushin karate, Masutatsu Oyama (aka Choi Baedal). He was supposedly the toughest man alive (he actually killed 40-50 bulls with his bare hands) and counts Sonny Chiba (who did a movie on his master) amongst his students.

Chihwaseon

Beautiful, gorgeous epic by Im Kwon Taek and brilliantly acted by the genius Choi Min Sik.

Everybody Has Secrets

A really scandalous movie by Lee Byung Hun and Choi Ji Woo (of Winter Sonata and Stairway to Heaven fame). Sinful fun!
